My students need a classroom printer with ink.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My classroom is very hands-on and I create most of the materials. But it is difficult when I don't have a printer with ink to do so.
My classroom is full of energetic workers who enjoy all aspects of our classroom day.
I am a Special Education teacher in a mild cognitive impairment class in a low-income area. All of my students have a diagnosis of a learning disability, developmental delay, or other health impairments. A lot of the families at our school are faced with challenges of poverty, but together we find ways to help their children overcome those challenges and be successful. Buying school supplies is not always an option for these students. My school provides as much of the supplies as possible, but I still spend a lot of my own money on things I need for my classroom.
Having a printer with not only black but colored ink leaves the possibilities endless in my classroom. Differentiation is the key to success for my students. The printer will allow me to print differentiated materials to meet the needs of all my learners. I will also be able to print out their sight words and books on their level to help them become better readers. Additionally, the printer will be used to print instructional materials, progress reports, power points and certificates. The students will also be able to use the printer to print stories they have written and projects they have created. My students feel a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when they see their work posted around school. I want to be able to give them this feeling of satisfaction while they are learning along the way.
Having a classroom printer with ink will help my students be successful tremendously!
I believe ink is a necessity for any classroom especially if the students are benefiting from it. Your donation will give my students these needed resources to keep our classroom running smoothly and effectively while watching our learning gains go up.
