Mrs. Troast from Mitchellville MD is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 10 iPad minis and cases for small-group work.

“We never know which lives we influence, or when, or why.” ― Stephen King, 11/22/63 My students are kind, caring, and very eager to learn. I wish, and I will, provide each and every one of them with the highest learning experience possible, regardless of their background.
My students are 5-6 years old, living just outside of our nation's capitol.
They are small, curious, and very active. With the ever increasing demand on our students to perform on standardized tests, I feel the need to take every action possible to insure my students success. This testing is becoming more prevalent, with technology at the forefront. In order for my students to succeed in their learning, lives, and to prove their intelligence in their testing, my students need these materials to gain an ever so important experience many may not be able to have else where.
I am requesting 10 iPad minis with cases. These iPads will be used during daily Mathematics and Reading small groups. My students will use these iPads in small groups to complete interactive lessons and assessments, as well as for independent work to practice their fluency skills in reading and addition/subtraction problems. iPads will allow my students to become very familiar with technology, and will pave the way for each of my students to be successful in state mandated exams.
Donations to this project will allow many children to experience technology in the classroom that they may not get a chance to otherwise.
I became a teacher in order to change the lives of my children, and I truly think that giving them this experience and this exposure will allow them to thrive.
