With powerful technology resources available for classrooms now, teachers can use tablets and other devices to seamlessly integrate productive lessons. I believe that with an iPad in my Pre K classroom, my students could utilize this tool and free apps effectively with almost every lesson.
I am currently a new Pre K teacher at a elementary school.
The community where I teach is known to be tight-knit community with great parental support. My school has more than 500 students from pre K through fifth grade. I am new to this school, but from what I have observed, I see technology is a priority to them. My students are energetic, lovable and eager to learn.
My Project
Our class is a new section this year at my new school and we are working hard to fill the room with needed resources. I could use many things, but an iPad would definitely be an asset to my students. This school has been fortunate enough to gain some technology for the students in the last few years, however, as a group, we know iPads can enhance lessons. As an educator, I would love for my little ones in my classroom to receive an iPad. My goal would be to seamlessly integrate skills with technology. With an array of free apps online, I have no doubt, my children and I would benefit from having a tablet in our classroom. I would use the iPad in centers to offer lessons that would introduce and/or revisit ELA, math, science and social studies skills.
It is no secret that additional technology money is not always available for the extra technology accessories and tools.
I am asking your help to bring an iPad and case to both sections of my Pre K classroom. If you would help, we would love to shout "Hooray for iPads in our classroom!"
