My Students

Have you ever let your mind wander in class- only to snap out of your daydream and realize that you missed the most important part of the lesson? This is an issue that students with ADD, ADHD, and other learning hurdles are constantly battling. Help these students stay focused with Hokki chairs!

My students come from all different backgrounds.

Over 80 percent of the students at our school receive free or reduced-price lunches. Many students speak languages other than English at home. When facing so many challenges at home, it can be difficult for students to concentrate in the classroom. Every year, I have the opportunity to help many reluctant learners and students with attention deficits. These stools will help them overcome some academic barriers.

My Project

We would like eight Hokki Stools to provide seating at our small group kidney table. Every student in the classroom will sit on these chairs for at least thirty minutes per day in their reading and math rotations. Guided Reading and Math are arguably the most important, most concentrated learning events of the day. Hokki Stools have been proven to help students focus in the classroom- and the students who have excessive energy will be able to move in their seats without disrupting others. These stools will help them get the most out of their learning time.
