Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember that day in summer camp when you tie-dyed a t-shirt for the very first time?
Our young scholars are preparing for college in an inclusion classroom.
All of the students come from an under-served community and qualify for free school lunch. They are strong, hard working, and they know what it means to persevere. Just ask- they will tell you.
My Project
We already have squirt bottles and buckets... But we need rubber bands, t-shirts, and the dye! With your help our students will get the experience of tie-dying a t-shirt for the very first time. In our inclusion classroom community we wear our tie-dyed shirts during reading celebrations, writing celebrations, our Annual 302 Poetry Slam, and field trips. In their color infused shirts our students stand a little bit taller with a sense of pride to be apart of a positive learning environment.
Without you our students will not get a chance to participate in a science lesson in which they get to design and create their very own Tie-Dye t-shirts.
With your help our students will feel connected in our classroom community. Every time our students wear their Tie-Dye shirts they will be thinking of you
