My Students

Every day I wake up, go to school, and receive thirty of the most wonderful hugs I have ever known. All of my students come from lower-income families but come to school ready to learn, love, and share.

My students are eager learners, and they love school.

They come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and usually don't have the school supplies that they need to be successful. We are located in a caring community that helps meet our students' basic needs. However, the small classroom, combined with the fact that our class sizes are very large, makes it hard to find room to work at our tables and stay organized.

My Project

Your donations will give my students the needed space and protection for their supplies. My students need a mobile cart and book bins for book storage and a comfy place to sit while they read. These materials will provide them with a cozy environment. The materials will be used to organize my students' books and make our classroom more child-friendly. As we all know, little hands are very busy, and the crowded work space often distracts students from their full learning potential. The book storage unit will be very beneficial in our classroom so that students can select their own books from the assortment available. Providing my students with the materials to learn is absolutely crucial in teaching. As a kindergarten teacher, I strive to make learning fun, engaging, and rigorous. I want to offer my students the best learning environment so that they receive the best education possible. These improvements will help my students to become more independent and self-directed learners.
