Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every semester I hold a competition between all of my classes to see who can read the most books.

My students love to read, and they take this competition very seriously.

The class that wins the competition gets a big party for them at the end of the semester. This party has pizza, icecream, soda, etc. It is getting very expensive for me to provide the food as well as the cups, plates, utensils, etc.

My Project

This project will provide the party supplies for the next few years as well as the cleaning supplies that my classroom needs for after the party as well as for everyday use. It will help relieve the burden of buying the party and cleaning supplies every semester.

Help me to reward my students for reading.

The more that we give students an incentive to read, the more likely it is that they will continue to read on their own after being in my class. This can inspire students to be lifelong learners.
