My students need 25 exercise balls to replace their desk chairs to help aid in concentration and focus.

My Students

Children in second grade need to move! With decreasing time for recess and increasing time that children need to be on task in the classroom, exercise balls help the children with their need to move. Movement helps to stimulate the brain and aid in concentration.

My students are second graders with a ton of energy!

I enjoy the level of energy and would love to channel it into their learning. Our school is a typical elementary school with a rural population. The kiddos come to school ready to learn, but some have trouble concentrating and staying on task. I am hoping that the exercise ball will help! I have had a few on loan in the past and they worked beautifully with those kiddos who have a need to fidget and move!

My Project

These exercise balls would take the place of the hard plastic desk chairs that the children currently have at their desks. They will allow children to move, but stay in a stable comfortable position in order to help them be more productive and more focused on classroom tasks.

Donations to my project will help tremendously with my students.

Especially those with difficulty focusing and staying on task. The kiddos love to move and wiggle and bounce and it will not only provide an outlet for that energy, but will also help channel it into their learning.
