A typical day in our classroom is often anything but typical. We perform experiments in an effort to understand the world around us, write scathing opinion pieces and hilarious stories, explore the world of mathematics, tackle challenging literature, and uncover history.
My students are an amazing group of people.
They are excited to explore the world around them every day. We live in rural Nevada, and have wildly diverse interests ranging from ranching to robotics and anything else you could ever think of. These kids are going to make our world a better place through their creativity and enthusiasm!
My Project
I am requesting 1 Flight and Rocketry kit to make rockets and other flying objects. My students need the Flight and Rocketry Delta Science Module. The kit includes the necessary materials for students to create their own fuel-powered model rocket, as well as jet vehicles, parachutes, kites, and hot-air balloons. This is genuine science being used in real-life ways.
The kit also includes "Science Readers" that will support the science activities and promote literacy. These readers include information about how flight is achieved, Bernoulli's principle, and the Wright brothers.
Donations to this project fund more than a science kit, they provide my students with the opportunity to engage in science in a meaningful way.
These donations will remind my students how generous people can be, and in doing so, hopefully my students will model this generosity for the rest of their lives.
