My Students

The best educator educator is one who educates the whole child!

I work in a year round elementary school in North Carolina that is rich in culture.

Our students come from a wide array of religious, cultural, and socioeconmic backgrounds. My my school, I have the privledge of teaching sevearl kindergarten and first grade students that have special needs.

My Project

I am requesting a set of journals that have writing prompts to use during Writer's Workshop and a set of character education books that will help promote my student's social skills and will teach them strategies for dealing with social situations they face. I will use these tools on a daily basis with the kindergarten and first grade students that I serve.

My students possess a love of leanring!

Many of my kids need additional support, especially with generating ideas during Writer's Workshop. The journals I am requesting include pictures that will help my students focus and better organize their ideas. Many of my students all need emotional support. I am also requesting a set of character education books that focus on social skills.
