Help My Students Learn to Read

My students need activities, like word builders and an alphabet center, to help them learn to read, and a rolling cart and caddy to carry the activities from one room to another.

My Students

My students in kindergarten and first grade need activities and resources to motivate them to learn to read.

My students are wonderful!

They come from a very diverse population which makes them very special. They are in kindergarten and first grade. They attend a Title 1 public school. Motivating activities help to keep them focused during lessons and encourages them to do their best.

My Project

I'm requesting some little dry erasers so my students can erase their white boards instead of using tissues over and over. I would also like a literature based alphabet center and twist and turn word builders to help motivate my students to learn the alphabet and some basic words. Since I am the reading specialist and I travel from class to class to teach, I would like a cart and caddy to carry the resources to each class. Since I work with several kindergarten and first grade classes, more students are able to use these materials.

This project is so important to me because I want my students to have the same things as other students in other schools.

I strongly believe that they can do as well as other students as long as they have the same opportunities.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
