My Students

Active, fun, challenging, adventurous, healthy, cool, awesome, daring, and interesting are some of the words that students used to describe my Physical Education class. I just want to continue to add to my program to keep students engaged and active!

I teach at a very diverse school with another 47 schools in the district.

It is large district with not a lot of funding for the specials, art, PE, music etc... Students here are very engaged and want to learn. They are interested in being part of a wonderful community even though most are on free and reduced lunch. I know my class is one of the only times in their life they will be exposed to some experiences or activities.

My Project

I am asking for a 24 foot climbing rope. My students need a challenge in their life that is positive. I want my students to be able to achieve that. By providing a climbing rope they can work on their level of fitness, they will be able to complete a challenge that they may never get to experience again in their lifetime.

By getting this project funded I am hoping to add to the excitement of their fitness, one more aspect to help improve their overall fitness goal.

I know I can find an activity that each child can find success or excitement in that they can take with them for the rest of their lives.
