My Students

The best kind of learning is learning that is fun! My students need hands-on math centers to reinforce the skills they are learning in a fun way. I'm a teacher new to Kindergarten without many supplies. Please help make my classroom a fun place to learn!

My students live in a low-income area where many receive free or reduced lunch.

Many are learning English as their second language. Learning can be difficult for them as many of them come to school with a limited background knowledge. Many of their parents do not get a chance to help them with homework as they work long hours. My goal is to help them learn. Learning is better when it is fun!

My Project

These hands on math centers will allow students to have fun math activities to use during math time. My students will get a chance to practice the skills we learn during whole group time in a fun way. These math centers are all skills we will be learning in kindergarten.

My project is important because learning is important.

Learning is internalized by using hands-on methods. Math is important in everyday life; therefore, this project will help students learn skills for their everyday life in a fun way.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
