My students need a triple beam balance, microscope, Bromphenol Blue solution, dry erase boards, and specific gravity set.

A typical day in my science class involves students gaining hands-on experience with the few lab supplies that we have. These middle school students are excited about being in a science class and they want to get their hands on something real. However, we lack the resources needed to accomplish this.
Our middle school consistently works with students to improve academic performance and increase learning gains.
We have pledged to deliver programs to increase the critical success of our children. Our mission is to provide educational programs and services that foster improved academic success and wellness. The school is unique, not only because of its small size, but also its student demographics and achievements. Ninety-eight percent of the student population is eligible to receive free or reduced price lunch. In spite of their socioeconomic conditions, the students are performing better and surpassing those in many traditional public schools.
As a science teacher you are constantly faced with how best to meet the individual needs of your students and help improve their understanding of key science concepts. Your students have a wide ability range, and their understanding and preferred learning styles also vary. Students will have opportunities to design investigations with the triple beam balance. They will engage in scientific reasoning with the group white boards. They will manipulate equipment with the specific gravity set. These experiences will help them have greater appreciation for science.
These donations will help students become engaged in science rather than learning science passively.
These supplies will allow students to participate in scientific practices in order to be proficient in science. The dry erase boards will allow each group to present their lab investigations to the class. The Bromphenol Blue solution allows students to see they are releasing carbon dioxide. The balance will allow them to measure and the microscope will allow them to view microscopic organisms.
