Mrs. Stephens from Glenolden PA is requesting books through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need headphones for computer use in the classroom. My students need individual white boards, erasers, markers, partitions, and books to use in the classroom.

I try to use a variety of hands on materials with my students. They love to use the whiteboards to show their answers but my supplies are wearing out. It gives me the advantage of seeing immediately who is grasping the skill and understanding what I am teaching.
My students love to learn and try new things.
I am constantly trying to incorporate new things in the classroom to keep them motivated. When I am given the chance to select resources, I try to use things they are interested in. They love to work in groups and work well together.
My students use individual whiteboards when I am doing a lesson on my Promethean white board. They write their answer down and then hold it up to show me. This gives me the opportunity to immediately see who is getting the lesson and who needs more review. I use the novels during independent work. The students are assigned a specific number of pages to read throughout the week and I give them a five question quiz on Friday to test their comprehension. The questions I ask are ones that the students would only know if they read the book. My students take assessments every week and recently have trouble with students looking at their partners paper. The partitions will help keep students from looking at other papers. My classroom is not very large so I cannot move them apart from one another.
Donations will improve my classroom greatly.
The students love to use the hands on materials but the ones I have are getting ruined. The markers are wearing out and the boards are becoming damaged. I would like to use the computers more in the classroom but they seem to disturb others in the classroom. The headphones will help keep kids focused.
