My Students

Do you remember Math classes when you were little? If you had fears or anxieties was it due to a lack of hands-on visual materials? At a Kindergarten level hands-on is what the children desperately need. Make them Math Experts for the next grade levels coming!!

Kindergarten is all about learning through movement, hands-on, and socially too!

These items will make acquiring math standards much easier for all my students! I have some students that have had no experience from home or pre-K, and some who have families that tremble at the word "math" and then others that are language learners and desperately need hands-on to be equal to their peers in their learning.

My Project

Several concepts are difficult to acquire at a kindergarten level and yet so much is now expected of them to master before moving on. Hands-on materials that make learning more FUN, such as math counters, math trays and bingo, are what the children need, and will make it transfer to the next levels to come. Let's not make "math" a 4 letter word too---in a bad way.

I truly believe and standby the belief that we learn better when more options are given and provided to us, such as visuals and hands-on combining to the worksheets and whole group lessons we do.

Do it just one way, only 25% will stick, but add to it and 100% of the information is acquired!
