My students need a table, chairs, and hot dots. Please support my students so that they may have a comfortable area where they can read and receive their small group instruction.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island," said Walt Disney. This is what I'm instilling in my students. But how can children enjoy reading when they are so far behind their grade level.
Our school is located in Texas with 90% of our students being Hispanic.
My classes consist of 52 bilingual fifth graders. Each of these students is a one of a kind with their own needs. My students range from reading levels starting at second grade level all the way to tenth grade level.
My Project
My students are very diverse in their needs. By having a kidney table and chairs for my students to use they will have a place to read. They will also have a place where they can receive their individualized instruction. By having this individualized instruction we will ensure these fifth grade students who are second grade level readers grow as much as possible, as well as challenge the tenth grade level readers.
By providing the supplies necessary my fifth graders will have the opportunity to comfortably learn the skills necessary to become good readers for life. These materials requested will not only be used for reading but also for science small group instruction. They will be able to learn through engaging science games such as the science hot dots.
Our students are the future of tomorrow and I truly believe that together we are going to make a difference in the lives of these children.
We are going to ignite the love for reading by challenging them to become good readers for life. In addition to creating good readers, we will spark the curiosity for a science career or create generations of good decision makers through science.
