My students need more badminton materials. The introduction of this less common sport has been a big hit at our building. We are in need of more rackets and shuttles.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our typical day includes everyone getting an opportunity to move and play a sport. The students get introduced to different sports all the time. Some students who don't excel in traditional sports like some of our more relaxed games such as badminton.

Our students come from a variety of backgrounds.

Our school is diverse in population and socioeconomic backgrounds as well. Our students enjoy PE for 90 minutes two to three times per week. We switch sports every four weeks to keep the students interested and making sure they get to experience a variety of sports.

My Project

The students have been introduced to badminton this school year and have fell in love. Love so strong that our equipment has started to deteriorate. We are in need of new rackets and shuttles to keep the love of this new found sport for most of them going. The student's love this game as it is a easier game for most to pick up since most students have never played.

The donation of rackets and shuttles will improve our classroom because students will be able to continue playing a game that they have a new found love for.

The equipment would let the students who are less athletic still feel successful at a slower paced game. The student's love the game and would love to continue to play
