My students need 8 floor cushions and playhouse cube with mat for an upgraded, flexible learning space that allows for learning all over the classroom--not just at tables!
Young learners need to move to learn! Imagine a classroom where students can choose to learn in places other than sitting on a carpet or in a chair at a table. I'd like to provide my students with some unique and flexible spaces in my classroom where they can find their comfort zone and excel!
My student are a highly diverse group of first graders.
They are learning at their own paces and I'd like to see them learning in new, flexible spaces. This year my class will be launching a new learning experience with a greater emphasis on technology and I'd like to provide them with new, flexible work spaces to explore and learn.
My Project
By creating flexible work spaces for my students, they will have the freedom to learn in ways that are comfortable for them. Not all people are meant to learn and work seated in chair at a table. Kids are no exception to this. I would like my student to have the space and materials to explore which learning situations best suit their learning style. Do they learn and work best at a table? On the floor? Sitting on a bench? Resting on a cushion? Alone in a reading nook? In a group in a corner? Help me provide my students with the 8 floor cushions and playhouse cube with mat to find out!
Classroom budgets are always shrinking, and it is very hard to update your classroom materials and learning spaces using only your classroom budget.
I want to give my students the opportunity to learn in a space that is flexible and help them work in ways that support their learning styles.
