My Students

Do you remember a time in your life when you thought something would be easier than it actually was? Fractions have proved to be that topic for my third graders. We are determined to master fractions before we move to fourth grade and are responsible for converting them into decimals and percents.

My third graders shine as bright as the Florida sun!

These future leaders attend a Title I Elementary School. Most are on free or reduced lunch. They love to learn, but many do not get as much support at home as they need or deserve. Each of my students are unique and help create a wonderful classroom environment.

My Project

These hands-on fraction resources will enable my students gain a much deeper understanding of fractions than any worksheet could give them. The partner games will allow my students the opportunity to talk out fraction concepts and teach each other. The fraction computer program will help struggling students as well as enrich students who have a higher level of understanding on the topic. By using these resources my students will not only gain a better understanding, they will gain confidence.

Your donation will not only help prepare my third graders for the challenges in fourth grade, but for life outside of the classroom.
