My Students

Ending this school year with a bang and starting the next school year off on the right foot is the goal of this project. I would like to give my current students the proper send off to 2nd grade and welcome my new 1st graders with a great big HELLO!

I teach 1st grade at an amazing public school in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.

I love the enthusiasm my students have towards learning. It is their enthusiasm that encourages me to look for ways to enhance my teaching and find great, innovative materials to make learning fun. Their love of learning is what drives me to give them the best because that is what they deserve.

My Project

As the year winds down, I would like to help my current 1st graders remember this wonderful school year. Together we will create the Memory Lane Activity Mats to share our favorite memories of the school year. We need End-of-Year Certificates and stickers to celebrate the end of the year. We also need a copy of Last Day Blues because on the first day of school I read First Day Jitters and this book is the sequel. To welcome my new 1st graders I would like new Book Buddy bags to safely transport their take home readers each week. I would also like to give them a Welcome To School bag with a sticker, pencil, and bracelet when they arrive on the first day of school. I know they will always remember these small gifts.

These items will help me finish out this amazing year and also start off next year.

I think it is important to celebrate our accomplishments this year and welcome my new students in a memorable way. Sometimes it is the small things in life that make the biggest differences. Together we can make meaningful school memories.
