A typical day in my classroom is helping my students access academics despite their having autism. They need special attention and devotion to help foster learning. Many of my students struggle with fine motor skills; I would like them to learn new fine motor skills and have fun while learning!
My school is located in Brooklyn, NY.
I have six second grade students who have all been diagnosed with autism. These little children are absolutely wonderful! They require lots of dedication and differentiated instruction to help them access the curriculum.
My Project
My students will use the requested materials on a daily basis. They will use the bright and inviting fine motor materials during our Fine Motor Fun rotations. They will utilize the lacing beads, tweezers, the peg boards and hammers to increase their fine motor skills to ultimately help in the classroom and at home with their daily life skills.
This project will help improve my classroom by providing my students with the necessary materials to help promote fine motor learning.
Fine motor skills are used on a daily basis in both the classroom and in the home!
