My Students

Not all students learn the same way, some are fast, some are slow and some just do not get it. In today's world everything evolves around technology. We must provide opportunities for our students to learn through technology for them to be successful in the future.

I teach special education in rural east Texas.

Many of my students do not have the pleasure of experiencing technology at their homes. The only way some learn about new technology is through school. Most of my students are only a few grade levels behind. They are more than capable of learning and using all types of technology. Many of my students thrive when given the chance to do assignments on a computer or tablet. Our school lacks the funds to purchase all of what is available today.

My Project

I would love to give my students the chance to use another form of technology. The Kindle Fire sure would help spark my students interest. We could extend our lessons by using Kindles to explore and research different topics. I could use it as incentive for my students to give more effort on assignments and increase their reading skills.

By supporting my project you will give my students the ability to become confident in themselves and school.

Each one struggles in different ways but loves school. They deserve to feel the same success at learning as a regular student and with these items I believe they will experience that feeling.
