My students are approaching middle school and are very tech savvy.
While having access to several classroom computers and a class set of iPads, they are still at that age where they want a tangible product to take home and show their parents. Our school has been blessed with many pieces of high tech items: iPads, desktops, document projectors, and smart boards. But it is still important to remember the basics like a printer for students to have access to.
My Project
While working in researching history and creating proof of their learning, students will have access to a classroom printer to create presentations. This will allow students the ability to really shine at their highest potential, even if they do not have the resources available to them at home.
This project still support my students in so many ways.
Yes it will heighten their success in the classroom. But it will also help to increase their self esteem as they are able to attempt new types of presentations, public speaking to share their work, and pride at having tangible evidence to show their families.
