My students need different and unique materials to help enhance their pretend play, such as a mailbox, puppets, baby dolls, a puppet tree, and dollhouse furniture.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Remember playing with a dollhouse growing up? Putting on puppet shows? These activities helped us increase our vocabulary, learn social skills and better understand the world around us. My preschool students need this chance too!
My students are a linguistically, racially and economically diverse group of preschool students.
The children get along well with each other regardless of their differences. The students teach each other and learn from one another in our classroom community.
My Project
These new dramatic play materials will be made available during the students free choice time. Students will be able to self-select the materials they would like to play with. Having these new pretend play materials will help our students understand the world around them and make sense of everything they are learning. Puppets and doll house furniture will give the students a chance to act out real life situations in a safe environment.
This project will make our student better story tellers, increase their vocabulary and make their free choice time a more rich experience.
Your donation can help our pretend play come to life!
