Needed: Literacy Center Materials! I teach kindergarten in a small, rural North Carolina community school. Most of my students come from low-income families.

Our class has very limited materials for literacy centers. In addition, my students often begin kindergarten without any exposure to early literacy skills.

Our class is in dire need of literacy rich center materials to help the students become proficient readers. We need hands-on alphabet and sight word center materials in order for our students to gain the essential skills needed to learn to read.

Your help will ensure that my students learn their alphabet and the first 75 Fry sight words. In addition, it will make it possible for our class to meet the 5 components of Reading First.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
