My students need Legos, such as Brickt, Wheels, Community Minifigures, and Fairytale and Historic Minifigures sets, to be engaged in different subjects that include math, reading, science, social studies, and writing.
My classroom is very close and work together in setting goals and trying their absolute best in reaching those goals. Student engagement is everything. If you have the attention of your students then they will learn.
My students are the best.
They are the best because they try. I told them one day that as long as I seen an attempt, I am one happy teacher. They give me 100%, and that's all I can ask for. They want to be the best, and they set high goals and sometimes reach those goals. The other times they do not reach their goals, they don't get upset they pick themselves up and try again.
My Project
My students need Legos, such as Brickt, Wheels, Community Minifigures, and Fairytale and Historic Minifigures sets. I have a small amount of Legos in my classroom right now, and the students absolutely love them. Legos bring out another side of learning, and that is the creative side. We have reading flex groups daily. On Fridays I let my group get the Legos out. They are tasked with building something that we read about throughout the week. After a set time limit, students then reflect on their build. They then have to write about what they built and why they built it. There are 8 other flex groups in my grade level that would love to do the same thing with their groups but can't because we do not have enough Legos to spread around. Legos go way past reading; they can help with fractions in math, which is a very hard concept for many students. Legos truly have endless possibilities in the classroom.
Legos will engage the students.
With them engaged, they will be more focused and learn many concepts. They will get to share in a more creative way and allow for growth in their educational journey.
