Easier With An Easel

My Students

Every morning, we start our day by saying our school pledge. The last words are "...where every student is a STAR" and each one of my students walks through the door believing they can achieve.

My students are my kids.

I share my day with twenty-four loving, hard working, and funny eight and nine year olds. They love competition and encouraging each other. Their minds are open to everything and anything I teach them. They especially love when I incorporate technology in my lessons. Our school is filled with dedicated staff, supportive families, and students who love to learn. We are a community of hard workers.

My Project

The teaching easel will be beneficial to our class because we are currently using wall space and the whiteboard as an easel for our anchor charts. I need to tape chart paper to the board which covers and usually erases the work that was written on the board. I'm also running out of wall space for my charts and having an easel will create one central location for charts and the ease of writing on chart paper.

This resource will benefit our classroom by facilitating learning and continuing to foster an environment that promotes growth and community.

Students will be able to finally look to one place where I can go to write our charts and they can come up to the easel to share their thoughts and work. I would greatly appreciate not having to sacrifice our work on the board because I'm now having to tape my paper on the board to write. Our class would benefit tremendously and appreciate this resource.
