With the 21st century upon us and technology becoming more and more important and relevant to our daily lives, I am working hard to make a classroom that meets my students' technological needs. Sometimes it is the little steps and improvements that make the most impact!
My students are energetic and hard working 4th grade students.
I teach at a large elementary school in a suburban neighborhood. The school is wonderful in many ways, but needs a good amount of improvement in the realm of technology. In a school of over 600 students, we only have 30 computers, but have just received some new chrome books to be used in our classrooms. Now, we need the added bells and whistles that come along with these in order to utilize them at their optimal use.
My Project
We have just received chromebooks to be used in our classroom. This is the first time that my students will be having access to technology in the classroom. In order to be able to work on different educational programs and activities, it would be extremely helpful if each student was able to have their own set of earphones to plug into the chrome books.
This project will make a difference in my classroom because with these earphones, my students will be able to have technology at their fingertips.
They will be able to have learning that is differentiated for them and meets them at their personal level as well as engages them in a new and exciting way. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home so having the materials available at school will help them on the road to success in this new world of technology.
