My students need engaging books such as Diary of a Minecraft Zombie Book 1, Diary Of A Minecraft Enderman, and The Tree Book for Kids and Their Grown-Ups.
My third graders are ravenous readers who try to spend at least an hour each day independently reading books at home and in school. They need more books to feed their insatiable literary appetites!
These kids are motivated, hard-working, and eager students who really love to read.
Many of them are English language learners who come from low-income families. They take school very seriously and love to impress adults with how smart and talented they are!
My Project
Access to a wide variety of level-appropriate texts such as Diary of a Minecraft Zombie Book 1, Diary Of A Minecraft Enderman, and The Tree Book for Kids and Their Grown-Ups is a key component in building students' comprehension and engagement in becoming lifelong readers. My students will fall in love with these great children's book characters and get hooked on their stories, gobbling up book after book.
The books requested meet the ability levels of all the students in my classroom and leave room to grow as they build their abilities as readers. Thinking deeply about fiction and nonfiction texts is a major requirement for being prepared for standardized testing, so lots of experience with these genres is critical.
Your support will help build a classroom library that supports the interests and abilities of all my students.
These new books will help further develop a love of reading as well as the skills my students need to tackle standardized tests.
