My students need Eggspert, a motivational answer system for reviews, as well as other engaging science and math learning tools such as whiteboards and dice.
Education should be an empowering process that allows children to develop their compassion, critical thinking, and passion for life.
Our moderate poverty elementary school has many who are receiving free or reduced price lunch.
Despite their circumstances, my students are hardworking and eager to learn. They deserve the same experiences and tools, including technology, that other more affluent schools offer. They are grateful for any materials donated to our classroom that can enhance their learning experience.
My Project
During science we will use the star theater, moon phase model, and light poster as we investigate each unit. The whiteboards, dice, and fraction bingo game will be used where relevant in math lessons.
After learning new concepts through various science and math items requested, my students will enjoy friendly review games using Eggspert. Six colorful eggs light up, flash, beep, buzz and talk to turn a class of 6th graders into a fully-engaged, excited, laughing, and active set of learners.
The pencil sharpener and marker clips are for organization in our classroom.
The prize box candy and toys requested will be used as incentives for correct answers and participation during the Eggspert review games.
Classrooms should be fun!
It means problem-solving, active learning, and engaged, happy students. Participating in these actives will better prepare my students for success in their future.
