Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A typical school day is filled with rigorous content across all subject areas, and students are actively learning. When my students come to school dressed in uniform, they are more happy, focused, and engaged; their school pride is elevated and they are ready for success.
My students are alert and curious, full of wonder and imagination.
They are labeled as socioeconomically disadvantaged, but I see them as rich with energy, talent, and potential. My school is a place of hope serving a community of high poverty; every staff member is dedicated to bringing out the best in all children.
My Project
This request is for school uniforms. My school has a school uniform policy that helps maintain students' focus on academics. This is critical in promoting a positive school environment everyday. When our students' basic needs are taken care of, they are able to devote their full attention to their studies and excel in all areas of academics.
When students in my classroom and in other classrooms across the school are equipped with school uniforms, they will feel cared for, and be filled with school pride.
They will be more focused on their studies, ready to take on every academic challenge they face. Their families will feel gratitude toward the school for helping their children dress for success everyday.
