Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Some schools do not have appropriate Science Lab equipment. Wouldn't it be nice if a students that can access some equipment could share with schools that don't?

My students are inner city kids of primarily Latino heritage.

Most are still learning English as it was not their primary language. most of my students come from homes in which parents struggle to make ends meet, yet they are driven and planning to attend college. Most will be the first in their families to do so.

My Project

Imagine the disappointment of students taking pictures with their phone's camera or a small low resolution digital camera and hoping to put these photos on the Internet for teaching purposes. As soon as they are posted they become to blurry to see, and have to be sized so small as to be nearly invisible. A 14 mega pixel camera will solve that problem and allow all the students to participate in this web page/web share project

Most people learn a subject well by teaching it.

This ongoing project will allow my students to become the teacher as they share, post and blog about the lab work they have done. As they teach the topics they will better learn what they have done themselves.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
