Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us capture our world! We need cameras to practice photography skills in our new class!

Our students come from a high poverty area, where many students struggle to come to school every day, and rarely are able to afford supplies, much less fancy camera equipment.

So many students are eager to learn more about photography and how to take excellent pictures, and these cameras will help teach basic photography principles as well as composition.

My Project

Students will be utilizing the cameras to develop their photography skills by practicing in class with each other, and in turn, their skills can help them improve their marketability and increase their earning potential by getting a jump start in the art and imaging world.

Since so many of our students face financial challenges, I aim to equip my students with skills they can use to advance their financial situation in order to be able to afford to go to post-secondary education or develop a career for themselves.

So many students love photography, and this can shine a bright spot on their lives with this creative outlet.
