Our Pre K-5th grade school is one of the elementary schools in our area.
We have almost 550 students here. I am a 2nd grade teacher who has taught other grade levels in the past before settling in 2nd grade. Our teachers and staff engage our students in powerful ways and our students do enjoy the learning environment. The children truly embrace technology at our school.
My Project
As a class that is need of a computer let me say, "we are definitely crossing our fingers for a new laptop!" I'm a teacher who has an avid interest in classroom technology. I have seen changes in how our schools manage computer centers. Without a doubt, anyone can say with confidence that children are now tech-savvy by the time they enter school. By the time they leave Pre K, they have been exposed to computers & centers. By 2nd grade, they have pretty much mastered technology in effective ways. My students will use the computer centers for literacy, math and even art. A new laptop would enable my students to participate in daily academic lessons that also enhance my art lessons. Technology brings so much to the classroom. "Empowering Students Through Art" meshed with the curriculum, is my goal with this new computer. Between engaging websites & apps in our academic world today, a Windows 10 laptop would offer an array of activities that would bring my lessons to life. Would you consider helping us?
