Cow Eye Dissection

My students need these kits to dissect as part of our science curriculum. These kits will provide all the necessary tools the students will need to explore dissection.

My Students

Do you remember dissection day in your science class? For many it was the best day of the year. My students are very excited to have an opportunity to dissect in the 6th grade. This dissection lab will prepare them for future dissections in high school.

My students are very curious about the way things work and how they work.

My students are often asking, "Why", "How" and "What if" questions. Many times I answer these questions with "What do you think?" or "See if it works". My answer to their question will lead them to discover the answer not be told the answer. Students have a greater retention of information if they can discover answers on their own.

My Project

My students will use these dissection kits to dissect a cow eye. The kit includes all the science tools necessary to complete this objective. My students will spend a few days before discussing the anatomy of the eye. My students will be given procedures for safety during this lab. I hope to see my students discover the answer to questions they may have about the eye and how it works.
