This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My name is Chasidi Bell and this is my third year teaching. I try to create a very calm and soothing atmosphere in my classroom. A typical day in my classroom consist of me greeting each student at my door and setting the tone for the class.
My students come from various backgrounds.
Majority of my students are minorities, they come from single parent homes, and/or their parents work multiple jobs to make ends meet. My students are very loving and attention seeking. So I try to nurture them and set an example for them. My school is very diverse similar to many public schools in the country.
My Project
My students will be able to show their creative side when they are working on assignments. It's no fun doing everything in pencil or pen. Students would be able to complete poster activities in color. Students will be able to work on group projects that involves creating images based off the story they read, and they won't have to share one box of markers for an entire class.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom by allowing the students to have more crayons, markers, and coloring pencils to use when working on projects.
My student's lives will be changed for the better if our project is funded because they will see that there are people out in the world that care about their education too. Making a simple donation is one step closer in bettering their futures.
