I am a third grade teacher in metro-Atlanta that serves a wide range of students.
I am ESOL and Gifted certified so the makeup of my class is extremely diverse. In any given year I have students from all over the world. It is fun to celebrate the differences of each student and explore where their families are from.
My Project
My students need colored paper and chart paper to create engaging projects. One thing I have learned through my years of teaching is that activities must be engaging for students to be interested. For me, that starts with creating lessons that are bold and exciting. One way I can capture my students is through the use of colors and pictures. Any time my students are given bright colored paper to create a project, play a center game, or work on a writing piece they are instantly more engaged.
Being able to bring out a child's creative side helps in so many aspects of their learning.
Being able to use bright colored paper allows my students to take their creative learning to a fun and exciting place. Students love using this paper to make games, organizers for their interactive notebooks, and writings. Being able to have a wide variety of colors to choose from will allow me to create fun and engaging lessons that my students will go crazy over!
