My Students

My students love using technology. We are immersed in Moodle, and the students love being able to go straight there to get their lessons, practice activities, and tests. It also allows the one on one time some of them require when they are challenged.

A typical Title 1, urban school, my students have come to see that education is their ticket to a better life.

They want the education and the technology skills that they can get now. They know that the more experience they have now, the easier life will be when they move on to college or career. I want to give them all the experience I can.

My Project

My students will be able to use these iPads individually or with partners/partner groups. They will be able to use Moodle (which we do regularly), Edmodo, and many other web 2.0 sites, as well as apps that aid in practice, like VidaLingua dictionaries, and flashcard apps.

Allowing these students the opportunity to use tablets on a platform different from what they may own gives them experience they may need in college or career.

These tablets will also allow more flexibility in the classroom so that students have access to all platforms, gaining valuable experience.
