My students need office supplies such as pens and highlighters. They are in the Kinder and 1st grade FLAG Korean classes need these supplies for daily activity centers.
A limited budget shouldn't limit a child's potential for creativity. Please help us enhance student learning and support the teachers' needs for basic office supplies.
The students are Kinder and 1st grade.
Our school is a Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School and has a Korean Dual Language Immersion Program. Half of their day is spent learning English in one class and the other half is spent learning the Korean language. The kids are between the ages 5-7 and they all are excited about learning. They love the arts and are all embracing the Korean language and culture.
My Project
These office supplies will be a huge aide in the learning centers. Our school is a Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School and Dual Language, but are funding from the federal government is done. Classroom teachers' need to differentiate instruction according to the students' abilities. Classroom centers and supplies are greatly needed to accomplish this.
Teachers have classroom learning centers so kids can be in a small group setting learning skills. These centers include hands on artwork activities. Students need different types of pens, markers, signs for the center to go to, lanyards, and other office supplies. Students work in smaller groups. They practice skills that they learn throughout the week. They will learn how to write, read, create stories, draw pictures, spelling words, write letters, and just be creative with their materials.
This project is so important because teachers and students need these supplies for centers.
Centers allows teachers to work in small group settings.
