CHS students have worked extremely hard to increase school spirit and build a positive culture. This project has been created to assist with the cost of supplies needed for the student section, pep rallies, and service projects that are carried out by the students of Collinsville High School.
My students are dedicated, intelligent, and hard working.
I work with 9th - 12th grade students through Student Council and they are committed to improving their school and their community. They spend dozens of extra hours at school every year to prepare for school events and community service projects.
My Project
Students will use these materials in Leadership class to decorate the school for upcoming sporting events and pep rallies, and to promote other school events and community service projects. We will use the tempera paint, paint brushes, and posterboard to make school spirit signs and signs to promote community service events. The large rolls of paper will be used to create large banners to decorate our school. This year, the students coordinated a toy drive for underprivileged children for Christmas, a dodgeball tournament, pep rallies, bon fires, student section activities, and hosted a blood drive.
Donations to this project will not only improve my classroom, but they will improve school and community culture as well.
Over the current school year, these kids have worked diligently to make the school a fun and uplifting place for every student. It is amazing how something as simple as decorating our hallways can improve the culture at our school and make everyone seem like a family.
