The 21st Century is all about knowing where and how to access information. By using technology in the classroom my students are able to work collaboratively to complete assignments that redefine their work to create something truly uniquely creative, and "transformative". We are driving innovation.
My students are a diverse group of young men and women with a passion for innovation and creativity.
They are like sponges and they love to work collaboratively on assignments to create transformative pieces of work that continually redefine the learning process and push the boundaries of innovation and creativity. They continually inspire me with boundless enthusiasm and a willingness to take chances and be creative with what they are able to do with technology and what they are able to create.
I would describe my school as a safe environment for my students so they feel like they can take risks and make mistakes. We have created a culture here that is based around respect and hard work. Students here truly do want to excel at what they do here, and what they do inspires me on a daily basis. I am beyond proud to be a part of my school, and community; and feel privileged to make a difference for them.
My Project
The students will use the ten Chromebooks to augment and redefine what it means to be in a traditional classroom. While on the Goggle platform they will be able to work collaboratively together in real time on the same document instantly. They are able to work at their own pace and complete assignments in any order as the curriculum are tailored to their individual learning styles. They are truly modeling what a 21st century classrooms will look like, everyday they routinely work on transformative projects that push the boundaries of innovation and creation. They are able to multitask and share out information instantly. They are able to access and research at a fingertip. They are able to communicate and collaborate with each other at a pace that rivals what we can keep up with. They crave information and feedback and thrive off of creation and innovation. They will be able to work on projects and leverage technology in ways that I was never able to and may not be able to anticipate.

We are in a globally competitive market and I will do my absolute best to make sure that these students are college and career ready. Technology has changed the world and brought us closer together and we have the ability to communicate instantly. I want to give my students the ability to communicate, collaborate, and innovate to be ready for the future.
