My Students

Our school's changing student population has brought more students without access at home to the internet. Getting online in class will greatly assist these students as well as all the students in the music classes.

Our school has a tremendously diverse student body.

We have a significant number of disadvantaged and minority students as well as mainstream students planning on attending four year colleges. We hope to increase the accessibility to college for ALL students by bringing access to the web to our music classrooms.

My Project

It is especially powerful seeing students discover their potential in music through use of tools on the internet. Songs, lyrics, videos, composers, the latest trends and more are all available online. Sharing these resources with our students through Chromebooks will be a great plus to our curriculum.

I want to stress that our music department has traditionally been strong in performing groups.

As our student make-up changes, we need to move towards a 21st Century approach to music instruction with online tools. Thank you for your support for our music students.
