Collaboration is key in our classroom! Now that we are a Google Apps for Education school we can easily create and share our documents and presentations with each other and other classrooms around the globe. Students will be learning how to name, rename, and share documents, presentations and more.
Our fourth grade class is made up of nineteen eager students who love learning.
Living in the suburbs, students don't often have the chance to see first hand other cultures. Through the use of technology they are learning how to be responsible and good "digital citizens" by creating and sharing all kinds of content while commenting on the work of their peers and others around the world. Technology really engages and motivates them throughout the day and allows them access to people and places beyond our little world.
My Project
Using the Acer Chromebook students can access Google docs to create stories, poems, plays, presentations, surveys and more. Their work can then be shared easily with their classmates, teachers, families and students across the globe. Students work best when they know what they are doing is real and matters. Students will work individually and in small groups. Reaching an authentic audience who will provide timely and appropriate feedback is sure to make a difference in their lives.
Funding of this project will allow students to be able to create and access digital content that enhances their learning.
Completed work will mimic what happens in the 'real world' beyond school. Creating, collaborating and communicating will become second nature and inspire learning.
