This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The twenty three student in my first grade class come from very diverse cultures and social economic backgrounds in Miami, Florida. I have many students with very limited English proficiency and struggle in the classroom due to lack of mastery of the English language. My young students are very enthusiastic and extremely eager to learn. They are excited to learn through the use of many technology devices and hands on activities. I can not wait to see their curiosity help them learn.

My Project

We finally have technology in our class! We have ten laptops in our class but no way to charge all of them at the same time and no way to secure them at the end of our school day. By having this cart in our classroom, we would be able to have all our computers charged and ready to go when we come into our classroom each morning. Charging the computers using the cart is easy so even my students could plug them into the cart each afternoon. Our laptops would also be able to be locked up at the end of each day and they would be securely put away.
