This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know what it's like to not be able to leave your things at home, but then also have to worry about whether they will be safe and available at school? My students know this all to well and need a supply cabinet where they can store binders, goggles, etc. to further their education.

We are a Title 1 school and this school is used and shared in many different ways.

The kids are very generous, but they need a place to store specimens, dissections and more! They need a safe haven to leave binders and not have them end up missing or destroyed!

My Project

A cabinet will allow our students more thorough study of the specimens we will be dissecting as well as a location to store the supplies needed to dissect! With a cabinet we will be able to put goggles, gloves, and aprons away and teach the students safety, security, and cleanliness!

This project is important because it is a basic need for our school, and, unfortunately, we do not have the funding to provide the security for the items that we do have.

We can lock the room, but the room is used for many different things, and so there is always no guarantee as to what will be there when we return!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
