My Students

Work smarter, not harder. That is what I always tell my students. Technology is the best way to engage our students in the learning process. My students just need the technology at their finger tips.

My students are middle schoolers.

They come from a quickly growing community in middle Tennessee. Our school is fairly new, but my students are looked at as the "under dogs" of the community. Some of my students come from great homes, but the majority comes from lower income homes. My students take so much pride in their school and want to do their best. When I come to work I know that I have to teach my curriculum, but I also have to love my students let them know that no matter what they can be successful.

My Project

These calculators will be used everyday in class. I will be able to challenge my students with difficult math problems. They will be able to do real world activities and learn how to problem solve with out be overwhelmed by computing problems. My students will learn real life skills that they need to be successful. I want my students to learn to use technology as a tool.

My project is so important because math is a daily skill that everyone uses.
