This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is proud to offer a variety of opportunities for students, including the chance to play on one or more middle school sports teams. Our volleyball program is in it's 7th year... too bad our current net system is close to it's 40th!

Our students are dedicated, enthusiastic, inquisitive and motivated.

One of our primary goals is to involve every student in an extracurricular activity. Sports provides students with the chance to grow and excel outside of the classroom. Relationships can be made or improved, confidence boosted and perhaps, a passion realized. We must invest in our students and the equipment necessary to facilitate growth.

My Project

In the past, coaches and referees have regularly commented on our sub par volleyball net. In practices and games, our student athletes are cheated out of necessary drills and exercises designed to build the most basic of skills. An adequate net will put our athletes on an even playing field (or court!) against their opponents. The right equipment means opportunity for growth and a sense of pride in our school and athletes.

Your generous donation will help our school build a stronger volleyball program.

As a coach, I am tired of apologizing to my students and other teams for our drooping net. With your help, I can focus on the game itself and my wonderful students. Thank you so very much - we couldn't do this without you!
