My Students

Empowering students to stay physically active in childhood will prepare them for making sound decisions regarding their health throughout their lives!

My goal is to give students opportunities to experience various types of physical activity, not only to keep them active during their childhood and adolescent years, but to encourage them to maintain an active lifestyle throughout their lives.

I am privileged to work at a school which serves students who come to us with a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Students at our school speak twenty-seven different languages and we strive to bring students together, inspiring them to love learning and to maintain active and healthy lifestyles.

My Project

My students are in need of P.E. equipment including Frisbees and basketballs. We will use the equipment to teach skills including spacing between individuals, throwing flying discs, catching objects, as well as dribbling and passing basketballs in primary and intermediate grades. We also work to teach teamwork and cooperation through group activities and games.

I believe that all students should have access to physical education activities, and I strive to make the time spent in my class meaningful to all students.

Throughout the year, students experience instruction in various skills, based on the Physical Education Model Content Standards. All students are encouraged to and provided with opportunities to explore the world of physical activity. I teach students skills as well as introduce them to sports & activities that inspire them.
