My students need BrainPop Jr, a website designed to enhance students learning of all subjects through videos and interactive lessons with their friends Moby and Annie.
I am an English teacher in a dual immersion program, where the majority of their day is in Mandarin. I teach four English classes. I want students to be able to use more technology in the classroom. BrainPop Jr is an enjoyable and interactive website that all students will be able to use.
My students are eager to learn Mandarin and English and take advantage of this unique opportunity.
They are always asking questions about the world around them and BrainPop Jr is a way to answer their questions! Given that the students in this dual immersion program have a wide range of abilities, I feel this program will be perfect for all of them.
My Project
My students will use this website in their English class. It will allow English to be taught on a variety of fun and interesting topics. As a teacher, I can find a video, a game, a quiz, and an extension activity on many interesting topics! Nothing helps excite students more about learning than a wonderful website that features videos, quizzes, and games. The topics are all aligned to state standards across the curriculum. They include science, social studies, English, reading, and more!!. Brain Pop Jr. presents video and print-related content together to make learning more effective, fun, and interactive. This will allow me to incorporate more technology into my lessons and to teach students a variety of topics. These students will become more experienced with technology, as well as become even more excited about learning! In a world where technology is becoming more prominent and incorporated into the classroom, this will start my students off to becoming tech savvy kids.
I have used BrainPop Jr.
in the past and it was a huge success. All students cheered when they saw Moby and Annie and were excited to see what new things they will be learning from their friends. As a teacher of 7 years, I've researched and explored many educational websites and I haven't found another website as encompassing and interactive as BrainPop.
